Nelson Reaction

In today's society I believe their is a disconnect between teachers and students due to the lack of interest that the student shows towards the specific topic he is being forced to research, in return handing in a paper the teacher wishes not to read. The research itself is is a burdon on the student and in consequence the student is almost forced to hand in a paper thats horrid. The reason for this is because the teacher as well as the students do not present something different, their is no challenging interest between the two. The student has no interest in writting the paper due to that the topic may be out of date, it may have been a potential topic of interest about twenty years back but not now. Now if the teacher was able to get that same topic and relate it to todays society or to our modern time then we as students can take a different approach to it. Now the student, the student also plays a huge role in this in that we (students) also bore the teacher with the same exact presentations and or ideas from every other student they had. We don't step outside our confort zone or boundary to explore something not yet talked about relating to the topic. I believe we both play a huge role in why many students do not enjoy research topics anymore.
