The place which I observed was the courtyard outside the STU Library. The reason being, it’s a very trafficked place by humans, animals and planes. I first began by just sitting and taking it all in. The courtyard is divided in two, with the door in the middle. I sat on the south side just because there was more space and less people. I was objective, I just sat there trying to to freak anyone out by staring at them to long. All I did was observe and take notes on what I could see, hear, smell, think and imagine. In terms of equipment I kept it simple and left my microscope home this time, all I carried was a sheet of paper and a Pilot precise V5 extra fine pen. When I saw something that grabbed my attention I wrote it down. Anything that was able to distract my senses was written down. The reason for that is because if it was able to grab my attention it should take a space in my sheet.
Overall it’s a very noisy place… luckily the fountains in the middle of the pound keeps you very relaxed. Unfortunately, they are able to relax you so much that you zone out completely at times. Cool! On one side of the courtyard all the students have laptops and on the other all the old school kids sit. We need more plants on campus. If only every airplane that passed above dropped one plant we would have the Amazon. The airplanes that pass high are not disturbing.
What’s really bothering me is the water level of the pond. How funny we have heels hitting the ground and it’s coming from a dude (funny). The smell is fresh…
